Solid Waste: Only allowed 1, 32-gallon cart

- Borough will provide 1, 32-gallon trash cart free of charge

- Trash must not exceed 40 pounds

Recycling: Maximum of three (3) containers (one of the containers must be the Borough provided cart)

- Borough will provide 1, 32-gallon recycling cart free of charge

- Recycling must not exceed 40 pounds per container

Residents are responsible for purchasing extra recycling containers from the Borough or any retailer/store. Extra recycling containers may be up to 55-gallons. All extra recycling containers must be labeled recycling. Recycling stickers are available at Borough Hall for free.

Extra carts may be purchased by inquiring through the Customer Relations Department. Please complete the Additional Carts Form and return it to the Customer Relations Department.

To qualify for the Senior Discount Rate, the following criteria must be met:

- Senior must be able to provide proof of age of 62 years or older

- Senior must be the customer on the Quakertown Utility Account

If you are a senior resident and expect to use more than a 32-gallon solid waste can each week, do not complete this form. You will automatically be registered for the Regular Solid Waste and Recycling service and will be billed $32.00 per month.

SOLID WASTE DUMPSTER SERVICE - $150.00 PER MONTH

The Borough of Quakertown offers solid waste service to commercial properties and multi-unit properties with four (4) or more units.

Dumpster Service:

- Monthly rate: $150.00 (flat rate - no hidden fees)

- Size: 2-cubic yard dumpster

- Collection: One (1) pick-up per week

- Drop-off fee: $50.00

Optional Services:

- Additional pick-up: $50.00/pick-up

- Lock and keys: $10.00/month

Requirements and Guidelines:

- The dumpster must be set on a paved and flat area that is accessible to the trash truck. Please attach a map with the drop-off location identified

- The dumpster lid must be closed at the time of pick-up

- Trash must be placed inside the dumpster – not alongside or on top of the lid

- Customers may not place their own locks and keys on dumpsters

- No dumpster permit required - Permit fee waived
