Current Members of Council are:

L. James Roberts, Jr.

Jim was born in Quakertown Hospital in 1944 and has lived his entire life in the Borough. Having served for 33 years on Borough Council, he has been involved with most aspects of local government. He has served as either Vice-President or President of Council for 20 years.

He currently is a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital, where he has served since 2000. As an owner of the Friendly Book Store and a past president of the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce, he has been active in the Quakertown business community since 1974.

Married for 50 years, he and his wife Donna are the parents of 2 adult sons. He is active in Grace Bible Fellowship Church where he serves as an Elder and teacher.

Donald E. Rosenberger

Don was elected to Borough Council in 1998.


Jon Roth

Jon was appointed to Borough Council in 2016 to fill the vacancy of David Erwin.

Michael Johnson

Mike was elected to Borough Council in 2008.

Mike was born and raised in Quakertown. He graduated from Quakertown Community High School in 1974. He attended Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, PA and received a BA Degree in Criminal Justice in 1978. In 1997 he attended the FBI National Academy.

He worked as a Deputy Sheriff for Bucks County from 1978 to 1980. From 1980 to 2009 Mike worked for Doylestown Township Police Department, and promoted to Sergeant in 1988. In 2009 he retired as a Sergeant with Doylestown Township and hired by Plumstead Township Police Department as a Patrolman.

He and his wife Rosanne have three children who all graduated from Quakertown High School. Mike was involved as a coach in local youth sports teams, both baseball and soccer for twelve years. He coached the Junior Varsity baseball team from 2005 to 2008.

Douglas Propst

Doug was elected to Borough Council in 2012.

Doug is a lifelong resident of the Quakertown area and graduated from Quakertown High School in 1985. At that time, he attended Bloomsburg University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1989. He later continued his education at Temple University where he earned a Masters Degree in Finance in 2001.

Doug has been employed at Kwik Goal, Ltd in Richland Township since 1996. He was hired as Credit Manager and is now Controller and Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for all accounting and financial aspects of the company, including budgeting and expense tracking for all departments.

Prior to his election to Borough Council, Doug served on the Quakertown Planning Commission for four years which included holding the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman. He also serves as a Board Member and Treasurer of Pride of Quakertown, as well as serving on the QNB Community Advisory Group, Quakertown Area Planning Committee, and Quakertown Action Park Committee and Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce Board.

He and his wife, Nancy, have been married since 1997 and have lived in their current home since 2001.

Lisa J. Gaier, Esquire

Lisa was elected to Borough Council in 2016.

Lisa has spent her life dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those around her.  As the wife of a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps, she helped establish a home school program at Andrews Air Force Base.  She also assisted in the development and maintenance of a communication network between the military command and the families of military personnel, especially those serving our nation in foreign lands.

Ms. Gaier is a graduate of Ohio University and received her Juris Doctorate from the Widener University School of Law.  While serving as an Assistant District Attorney with the Buck County District Attorney's Office, Ms. Gaier was actively involved with the office's Community Outreach Program.  Currently, she is employed as the managing attorney at the Law Office of Lisa J. Gaier, LLC.

Lisa chairs the Quakertown Community Aid Panel and is an active member of the Bucks County Bar Association, where she serves as Secretary of the Orphans' Court Section.

Jann Paulovitz

Jann was elected to Borough Council in 2016.

Jann & her family moved to Quakertown in 1977 from Doylestown Pa. She graduated from Central Bucks High School.

Jann has always been heavily involved in volunteering for her community. She volunteered at the Richland Elementary School while her children were attending, has been the Republican Committee Women in her ward for over 30 years. She has been a Board Member since 2007 for Quakertown Alive!, elected as President for 4 years, and now Vice President. Jann continued the Property of Merit program since 2007 and has been the Chair of the Pumpkin Ball Gala since 2011. Her involvement in the Borough began with the planning of the amphitheater and the park she is also a member of the Economic Development Committee. Jann was given Woman of the Year award in 2011 by the Quakertown Business & Professional Women’s Club & given the Nonprofit Award for “outstanding commitment to volunteer” from Sertoma in 2014.

Jann & Tom have been married for 47 years, they have 2 children & 3 grandchildren.
