Purchases by local governments fall into two categories:  those where competitive bidding is required by law and those where competitive bidding is not required.  Quakertown Borough wishes to buy goods and services of high quality at a reasonable cost.  Additionally, the Borough staff will strive to make certain that all purchasing actions are fair and impartial with no impropriety or appearance of impropriety, that all qualified buyers and sellers have access to Borough business and that no bidder is arbitrarily or capriciously excluded.
