The Borough of Quakertown is governed by a Council-Manager form of Government, constructed under an “Operational Plan” as permitted by the Home Rule Charter and Optional Plans Law, Act 62 of 1972 of the Pennsylvania State Legislature. This method of government was chosen by the voters of Quakertown in May 21, 1974. The Council consists of seven members, elected at large who serve four-year terms. The Borough Manager is appointed by Borough Council and manages the day-to-day operations of the Borough.
The Borough Council’s regular meeting is usually held on the first Wednesday of each month. Council work session is normally the fourth Monday of every month. Meeting dates can be obtained from the Council Meeting link.
