PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS –  August 30, 2021 @ 7:54AM

DEFENDANT: Derek Vartanian, Age 38, West Broad Street, Quakertown, PA

Quakertown Police were dispatched to the sidewalk in front of the Bush House, 200 West Broad Street, for the report of a white male subject passed out wearing a red shirt and baseball hat.  On scene, and after further investigation, Vartanian was identified and cited for Public Drunkenness.

HIT & RUN – August 29, 2021

DEFENDANT:  Dana Wood, Age 36, Berks Court, Quakertown, PA

Quakertown Police cited Wood for her involvement in a Hit and Run incident that occurred on 28 August 2021 in the area of Roantree Drive and Berks Court.

DUI / POSSESSION – August 29, 2021 @ 12:21AM

DEFENDANT:  James Barruzza, Age 49, Interchange Road, Kresgeville, PA

Quakertown Police effected a traffic stop on Barruzza in the area of West Broad Street and South West End Boulevard for a faulty front headlight and faulty license plate lights.  He was subsequently arrested for DUI and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

DRUG POSSESSION –  August 26, 2021

DEFENDANT: David Tender, Age 37, 77^th Avenue, Philadelphia, PA

Quakertown Police filed charges of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia against Tender stemming from an incident that occurred on 17 August 2021 in the area of the gas pumps at Giant, 1465 West Broad Street.

CURFEW – August 26, 2021 @ 12:58AM

DEFENDANT:  Juvenile

Quakertown Police cited a female juvenile for violating the curfew ordinance in the area of 600 Park Avenue.

DUI – August 23, 2021 @ 8:47PM

DEFENDANT:  Cole Schmidt, Age 26, Arbor Court, Quakertown, PA

Quakertown Police were dispatched to the area of South Ambler Street and East Broad Street for the report of a traffic accident involving a vehicle that was flipped over, had hit another vehicle, and driver had fled the scene.  After further investigation, Schmidt was arrested and charged with DUI.

WARRANT – August 22, 2021 @ 9:55PM

DEFENDANT:  Luis Vazquez, Age 47, No Fixed Abode

Quakertown Police arrested Vazquez at the Econo Lodge, 1446 West Broad Street, on a Bench Warrant out of Bucks County for Failure to Appear.  He was temporarily held at the Quakertown Police Department until turned over to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT/HARASSMENT – August 19, 2021 @ 10:36AM

DEFENDANT:  Steven Payne, Age 38, West Broad Street, Quakertown, PA

Quakertown Police were dispatched to the area of the 9^th Block of West Broad Street for the report of a domestic in progress.  On scene, and after further investigation, Payne was arrested.  He was arraigned by Magistrate Gaier and bail was set at $50,000. Payne was remanded to Bucks County Prison.

WARRANT/ESCAPE/RESISTING/POSSESSION – August 18, 2021 @ 9:33PM

DEFENDANT:  Daniel Keller, Age 40, N. Hellertown Ave., Quakertown, PA

Quakertown Police observed Keller riding a pedalcycle without illumination in the area of West Broad Street and South 4^th Street. Keller was also found to have numerous active warrants out for his arrest. When told to stop by police, he fled on the bike, then foot pursuit, resisted arrest, and apprehended. Suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia were found in his Possession.  He was arraigned by Magistrate Falcone and bail was set at $70,000. Keller was remanded to Bucks County Prison.

DRUG POSSESSION –  August 18, 2021 @ 11:56AM

DEFENDANT: Michael Mullen, Age 22, Upper Ridge Rd., Green Lane, PA

Quakertown Police were advised of a male subject near the pole yard fence in the area of 501 West Mill Street tampering with things on Borough Property. On scene and after further investigation, Mullen was arrested for Criminal Mischief and Public Drunkenness. Search incident to arrest revealed Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.

DRUG POSSESSION –  August 16, 2021 @ 10:41PM

DEFENDANT: Christian Rodriguez, Age 19, Creamery Road, Quakertown, PA

Quakertown Police effected a traffic stop on Rodriguez in the area of Front Street @ Juniper Street for a faulty headlight.  He was subsequently arrested for Possession of Suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.

NEGLECT OF ANIMAL VIOLATION – August 14, 2021 @ 4:41PM

DEFENDANT:  Jessica Schelly, Age 51, Sycamore Road, Barto, PA

Quakertown Police cited Schelly for animal neglect in the parking lot of the Grocery Outlet, 70 South West End Boulevard.

Quakertown Police cited Bennett for having an open can of beer downtown in front of the fountain at 316 West Broad Street.
