POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA – January 1, 2023

DEFENDANT – Joseph Snyder, Age 32, Highview Drive Telford, PA 18969

 Quakertown Police arrested Snyder for possession of marijuana, after investigation into the report of an unresponsive male slumped over behind the wheel of a vehicle at the Skate Park, 670 S Main St, Quakertown.

FALSE ID/WARRANTS – January 5, 2023

DEFENDANT – Andrew Sponsler, Age 35, Lumber St Green Lane, PA 18054

Quakertown Police arrested Sponsler for false ID to law enforcement after he provided officers with the wrong name during a traffic stop for driver’s side brake light out. Sponsler was also found to have outstanding warrants out of Bucks and Montgomery Counties.

RETAIL THEFT/DISORDERLY CONTACT – January 6, 2023

DEFENDANT – Larry Jackson, Age 32, S 6^th St Quakertown, PA 18951

Quakertown Police cited Jackson for retail theft and disorderly conduct after police were dispatched for an unknown problem at the Sunoco, 331 W Broad St. On scene, Jackson exited the store with two unpaid items and was yelling at the clerk.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA – January 9, 2023

DEFENDANT – Male Juvenile

Quakertown Police filed a juvenile allegation against a male juvenile for possession of a small amount of marijuana after he was caught with a vape pen in the boy’s bathroom at the Quakertown Community High School, 600 Park Ave.

USE OF TOBACCO PRODUCT IN SCHOOL – January 10, 2023

DEFENDANT – Female Juvenile

Quakertown Police cited a female juvenile for use of a tobacco product on school grounds after she was found in possession of a nicotine vape pen at the Quakertown Community High School, 600 Park Ave.

DUI – January 9, 2023

DEFENDANT – Joseph Sciulli, Age 57, Main St Pennsburg, PA 18073

Quakertown Police arrested Sciulli for DUI after a traffic stop was initiated for turning without a turn signal and drifting into the oncoming lane of traffic.

RETAIL THEFT – January 11, 2023

DEFENDANT – Russell Hamm III, Age 36, W Broad St Quakertown, PA 18951

Quakertown Police arrested Hamm for retail theft from the Giant Food Store, 1465 W Broad St.

DUI – January 11, 2023

DEFENDANT – Jose Hernandez Escobar

Quakertown Police arrested Hernandez Escobar for DUI after investigation into a head on, two vehicle accident with extrication.

RAPE – January 11, 2023

DEFENDANT – Matias Martinez Morales, Age 58, Alan Lane Quakertown, PA 18951

 Quakertown Police received a Child Welfare Report regarding the sexual assault of a child which occurred several years ago.  The subsequent investigation revealed that Martinez Morales sexually assaulted two children while previously living at a residence located in Quakertown Borough.  A warrant was issued for Martinez Morales, and he was subsequently taken into custody at his residence.  Martinez Morales was arraigned by Judge Douple and bail was set at $500,000 (10%).  Martinez Morales was subsequently committed to BCP.
