Memorial Park is located on the north and south sides of Mill Street. The entrance to the park is a tribute to American spirit, and is a source of pride for our community. The park is equipped with something for everyone with basketball courts, a volleyball court, tennis courts, baseball field, pavilions, skating pond, a historical baseball stadium, a large wooden playground, jogging and bicycle paths, as well as the Quakertown Community Pool.
The pavilions in Memorial Park can be reserved. The cost as adopted per Borough ordinance is $100.00 per pavilion for Borough residents, and $125.00 per pavilion for non-residents. Quakertown Action Park, previously known as Main Street Park, is on the southern end of Main Street and provides a skate park, basketball courts, and a softball field. The Quakertown Action Park Committee was developed in 2011 to revitalize the park. This initiative will transform the park into a state-of-the-art Action Sports recreation and training facility that will benefit our youth and the community. Completion of this project will provide an amazing place for youth of all ages to come together and progress in their sport in a safe, positive, and community friendly environment. Cedar Grove Park is at the western end of the Borough off of Roan Tree Drive and has basketball/street hockey courts and a playground. Park hours 6:00am - sundown.
Park at 4th is located at the intersection of Mill and 4th streets. It's features include walking and biking trails; an amphitheater; concession stand; gazebo; open areas for picnicking, playing, and relaxing; flower meadows; a pond with fountain; and restrooms, among other amenities. Athletic Fields are located on both California Road and Mill Road. The complex consist of soccer, baseball, softball, and football fields, as well as walking/jogging paths. The fields are run by various sport organizations in the area.
Borough Ordinance 755 requires a permit for any public gathering or street parade. An Event Application for the permit shall be made at least 60 days in advance of the date of the event by the person or persons organizing or in charge of the activity. Council may, by resolution from time to time, require additional information to be submitted as a part of the application.
