Post Date:11/27/2018

At last nights Borough Council Work Session, three Junior Council Persons were sworn in as part of the Boroughs Junior Council Person Program. Mason Smith is a Sophomore at Quakertown High School, Riley Boike is a Senior at Quakertown High School, and Amanda Banes is a Sophomore at Bucks County Community College. These Junior Council Persons will be seated with council, and will participate in borough business, and observe all council rules.

The Junior Council program provides youth in our community an opportunity to get engaged in borough government and develop leadership skills. The program also allows borough officials to serve as mentors to students who will be future leaders in their communities.
